Hi Andrew, I read all of the comments, and I want to get started asap, but I am still wondering how WA works. What are people selling to make money? Or what are people doing? I don’t know my niche. Does REALLY REALLY WORK to make money?? Do I need to invest to make money or with the free membership I can start to make money right away. Once I start to make money, I can invest more into it.
Hi there David! You will make a good choice in joining me in Wealthy Affiliate. Believe me, everyone worries about what there niche will be and what they will sell to make money online. I can’t give you a detailed explanation of the full process here as this is part of the training. However, I will say that there are literally hundreds of thousands of products that you can sell as an affiliate marketer. You really will be spoiled for choice! They way that we recommend you start is by choosing a subject that you are interested in and we will then help you to build a business around that interest. There is video training that explains this process a lot better than what I can in this comment section.
The free membership that you get will give you enough free training to get you started and will show you how everything works. You can start your business completely free of charge and stay a free member for as long as you wish. However, if you really want the best chance of making good money online then I do recommend the premium membership. But one step at a time, join as a free member and see what you think. I don’t know my niche yet, but till then I thought I would try boot camp, but still feel I’m not getting anywhere – video after video. I want to make this work, but before I become a premium, I want to make some money even it’s not a lot. Now there are a couple of things that you can do to help yourself get off to the best start with Wealthy Affiliate. First of all take a look at this free guide to getting started on Wealthy Affiliate. This guide covers the basics, so sorry if you already know most of this stuff, but these are important areas to cover. You might also like to read an article on this website about niche selection. OK, moving on… Here is my advice to you. Wealthy Affiliate is a great place to learn how to build a successful home business. The free membership does give you the ability to make money but its much harder in my opinion. The WA free membership is there to teach you the basics of how money of made on the internet and to give you a taste of building your own website. I personally started out making money online with free websites many years ago, so yes it is possible. But free websites don’t look as good as owning your own domain. People tend to be more suspicious of sub-domains and therefore avoid them a lot of the time.
If you really want to make money online and are serious about creating your own online business, then the premium option is a good choice. Choose your niche whilst you are a free member and get a good idea of what you want to create. The info that I have given you here will help with that. Next, get a good domain name, I can also help you with that too. Once you have these things in place you can start working on a real online business that you will carry on working with for many months. How quickly you will start making money is entirely down to the amount of time and effort that you can put into it. But let’s be clear here, you will not make money within your first month and probably not in your second either. Building a good online business takes a bit of time and you should expect to work for at least 2 or 3 months with very little return. But rest assured, if you get the basics right and you put the effort in, you WILL get the rewards.
Your best course of action first of all is to choose a niche. Ask yourself this… What is the one thing that you love to think and talk about the most? We all have something that we are passionate about, even if you don’t realize it yet. Think about this carefully as it is one of the keys to success. The free membership is there so that you can see exactly how money is made online and how our business works. Most online training sites and systems require you to pay upfront in order to see their services, this is completely the opposite of that.
Once you join you get a ten part training course and access to 2 free websites. This is ideal if you have never built your own website before. Here you can try the WA website building system out for yourself. The two free websites that you can build are yours to keep so long as you keep them updated. And in answer to your question, yes free websites do rank in the search engines. A few years ago I actually started an online business from scratch, using nothing but free websites. Once you learn how to pick the right keywords to target, you will discover that getting ranked is pretty easy.
Do you need to buy your own domain? That option is available to you. The free membership is a great option that allows you to try everything out at zero cost. If you are able to afford the cost of buying your own domain, then I would recommend it. There are also options to upgrade your free membership to a premium membership. I would recommend waiting until you are certain that building a successful home business is what you really want to do.
