My Home Job Search Review – Legit Or Scam?
It will come as no surprise to learn that there are thousands of people searching every day for ways to make money online. The idea of being able to stay at home and earn money online is a lot of people’s idea of the perfect job.
There’s also a huge amount of people who are unable to work outside of their home. The idea of “My Home Job Search” is to find the perfect job for the right person. And this would seem to be an excellent opportunity for many people.
On first impressions, the website looks like a standard, everyday search engine. You start by simply entering your Zip or Postal code. Answering a few general questions about the kind of thing you are looking for takes you to a presentation video. Here we discover that My Home Job Search makes some rather bold claims.
What The Site Claims To Be
Upon watching the video we discover that this service offers jobs that pay up to $56 per hour. After entering my details I was told that I could earn up to $1500 per week. Again this sounds fantastic! My Home Job Search also claims to have been mentioned on such sites as the Wall Street Journal, The BBC and NBC News, to name just a few! Again this sounds great, but can we really believe everything that this website tells us?
The first catch!
On entering this website we are led to believe that this service is free. Turns out this service does offer a completely free membership. However, after just a few minutes of watching the presentation video, we make the surprise discovery that the free membership might not be as good as we imagined.
The site also offers a premium membership that is said to give you a better chance of securing your dream job. Unless we take them up on their offer we will be competing with over 37000 other members, according to the video! A worthwhile investment you might think for the perfect stay at home job. But does My Home Job Search deliver results?
The Truth About My Home Job Search
Although this website might look and sound legitimate, there are several things that you should be aware of. First of all, you need to understand how My Home Job Search Works.
Have you ever heard of Affiliate Marketing? If not, allow me to briefly explain…
Affiliate Marketing is basically a way of getting paid for selling other people’s products or services. There are many legitimate websites online that recommend other services and get paid for doing so.
My Home Job Search is a website that recommends many online services in return for payment. Within the free member’s area, we see recommendations for several products. And although the sales video clearly states that you will never need to pay in order to take part in their “work at home” recommendations, this simply isn’t true.
Each and every product listed on the site requires a further payment. Should you decide you make that payment, the creators of My Home Job search get paid.
Is my home job search a scam?
We took a good look at the content on the My Home Job Search website and would like to show you what we found. It’s always a good idea to do your research when considering getting involved with any online business venture. In the case of My Home Job Search, there are several reasons that you should be extremely careful when parting with your money.
Let’s take a look at our findings…
Is my home job search a scam? – The Search Facility Is FAKE!
First of all the “search” facility within My Home Job Search is fake! No matter what details you enter into the job search on the home page, you will always get the same results! 27 results to be exact.
And although this site claims to have 27 “employers” who are waiting to pay you for your services, this isn’t true either. The fact is that My Home Job Search will simply direct you to other products that claim to be able to make you money online. A few services do have free versions or free trials, but all have paid versions or upgrades that will encourage you to part with more money.
Is my home job search a scam? – Fake Testimonials
Although this does not prove that My Home Job Search is a scam, the fact that fake testimonials are on this site is certainly a concern.
A little research into the images that we see on the website reals a lot. In fact, all of the images within the site are taken from stock image websites. Although this does not prove that the testimonials are fake, it does prove that the images are not of genuine, happy customers!
We found that every image on this website, including the image of the owner, was from a stock photography website. Using stock images to protect peoples identities is quite normal online. However, you often find that genuine, legitimate business owners don’t hide behind fake images.
Is my home job search a scam? – The Small Print!
It is quite often the case that with a lot of online scams that the truth is hidden in plain sight! This is certainly the case here. Look at the bottom of the My Home Job Search website, you will see the following disclaimer.
Notice the important sections that I have highlighted. Although the sales video makes this opportunity sound great and a dream come true for anyone looking to work from home, the reality is very different. As clearly stated on the home page “the typical purchaser does not make any money using this system”.
Is My Home Job Search a scam? Well, the definition of an online scam is an online service that gives nothing in return for payment. Whilst we can’t call this service a complete scam, I certainly couldn’t recommend it either.
My Home Job Search Review – Final Thoughts
My Home Job search is very misleading in my opinion. It’s nothing more than a way for the creators of this site to make money out of innocent people. The owners of the website are making money in both premium membership fees and affiliate sales, whilst giving poor advice.
The products and services recommended within My Home Job search are freely available online. There is no reason at all why you should pay a premium to access them! Most of the products available on this site are taken directly from the Clickbank marketplace.
It is in my opinion that My Home Job Search simply uses well-known brand names within their sales video in order to gain the trust of the public. The disclaimer that we have shown makes it very clear that you are highly unlikely to make any money at all whilst using this system. The final icing on the cake is the fact that even the owner of this site would prefer to hide behind sock imagery.
My final verdict is to stay well away from this website!
Still looking for a way to earn online? What should you do now?
I will always recommend that the best way to make an income online is to start up your own online business. Out of all the online business systems that I have used and tested, this one is the best! It’s the same method that is used by myself and thousands of other successful entrepreneurs. It all starts with free training and free support. If you think you’ve heard it all before, then you will be in for a pleasant surprise here.
My top recommendation is with Wealthy Affiliate and I will personally guide you to success there. You really have nothing to lose other than a little time to watch the video training. You can contact me through Wealthy Affiliate and I will answer any questions that you might have.
There is no hard sales pitch and no hard feelings if it’s not for you. My main aim here on the Make Money Online Zone website is to help people reach their online goals. So if you are sick of seeing the same old scams and sick of failing over and over again, this is for you!
Spend an hour of your time going through the free training at Wealthy Affiliate. You will learn the full process of making money online and setting up an online business. You can contact me directly if you have any questions and I will give you my support 100%, no matter what you need!
Are you ready to try something that really works?
Regina says
With the world economy looking bleak no doubt more and more people will try this program. And these people tend to be desperate and willing to try anything on top of working their day jobs. I feel for them.
When a program offers you a cheap or free program and tells you that you then need to pay more, that’s called an upsell. It’s a tool many programs like this one use to prey on desperate people.
Andrew says
Hi there! Thanks for your comments Regina. I agree that its a sad fact that that many people get misled my these scams. It’s a fact that many systems do use upsells as part of their selling technique but the systems themselves are very low quality within My Home Job Search. No matter which system you get involved with through this scam website, I guarantee it won’t work and will have lots of additional products. The only goal of this website is to extract as much money from you as possible.

Thanks for the reveiw, a really interesting read.
I’m finding it increasingly frustrating with how many sites there are like this now, which after a little research are clearly nothing more than cheap scams.
I agree with you that Wealthy Affiliate provides a fantastic service and training programme, however I would be interested to know if there are any genuine work from home sites you would suggest?
Thanks,
Mike
Andrew says
Hello there Mike! Thank you for posting your question. It’s true there are lots of so called work at home opportunities out there, but so far I haven’t found a single one that I would say was any good. There are lots of options but I would say that the best chance of making good money online is still via your own online business. Setting up a website like we show you in Wealthy Affiliate is the best way forward in my opinion.
The other options are either total scams or pay very little. Work at home jobs tend to come and go too and a lot of sites that start off ok, can suddenly disappear or stop paying. Most of the ones that have been around for a while offer very little in the way of payment.
My advice is to set up a site and let us guide you on how to do it the right way. You build an online business based on anything you like these days and make good money doing it.
Dominic says
Hi Andrew
You really are doing a great service in researching sites like these to stop the rest of us getting taken advantage of, there are far to many websites exploiting peoples ignorance, it’s just sad that websites like this can’t be shutdown. There are legitimate ways to make money online by helping people but some just don’t want to make the effort. I totally agree with you that Wealthy Affiliate is a great choice for those that are looking for help building there own business.
Keep up the good work
Dom
Andrew says
Thank you Dom. I really appreciate your comments! Although it might seem like a simple solution to shut down many of the scam sites that are around right now, unfortunately its not that simple. In actual fact, the “my home job search” website isn’t really doing anything illegal. That website is actually just promoting the same products from Clickbank that hundreds of other sites are promoting.
The difference with My Home Job Search is that it pretends to be a home job or business search engine. Whilst the site says that it has tested and approved the services that it recommends, it also tells us that we are highly likely not to make any money! Yes, it is a bit of a scam and it’s not helping anyone but the person collecting the commissions.
There are real ways to make money online by helping others and providing genuine, ethical services. But as you rightly say, there are lots of people that don’t want to put in the work. My goal here is to reach out to those that want my help and to make others aware of the scams before they waste their money!
Thanks for dropping by!
